After that, I had to wait another 20 minutes for tea, which tasted like plain water. We ended up sending it back. There's no reason to pay £2.50 for something that just tasted like water.

After an 8-hour road trip, I was really hungry, so I chose to eat it rather than sending it back to the kitchen. The server was very polite, but my water glass did go empty at one point. The atmosphere was great, and there was plenty of parking available. It's also safe for those with celiac disease, as gluten-free options are offered.
