Did not get what ordered. What husband did get was perhaps going for a beef burgundy but the sauce would have been better with lamb. The fried cauliflower was part raw as the pieces were cut to big. The presentation was excellent for the meal, the taste was not bad, but not what should be for price and ambience. This foodie was not impressed.
Our brunch was delicious! The shrimp and grits and the roasted root hash was all we could have asked for! Had no expectations and was really pleasantly surprised! Would definitely return and plan on it!
It is frustrating when you go to a small restaurant with a gourmet menu and they are out of everything. The food was poorly prepared and some dishes we had to send back they were so awful. They need to try a menu they can prepare consistently that are delicious. Would never go back but the service was excellent.
Good food and beautiful atmosphere. The service was slow and I had to ask for a server after a wait. Parking: Difficult to park. Not enough spaces.
My husband and I decided to have our pre-wedding rehearsal dinner at GRIT, and we are thrilled with our choice. Our experience with them was exceptional from beginning to end. It all started with a personalized consultation where we discussed the number of guests and selected our menu, which included food and drinks. The team at GRIT put together a truly mouthwatering menu for our family to enjoy. Angie, the owner, was very helpful and responsive to my inquiries leading up to the rehearsal dinner, and she made us feel like she was excited to be a part of our wedding weekend. We chose to have our rehearsal dinner in GRIT's outdoor area, which was beautifully set up with tablecloths, candles, a crackling fireplace, and two space heaters to keep us warm. The staff at GRIT were fantastic, ensuring our drinks were always topped up. They served all the food at once so everyone could start eating together without any delays. Angie even took the time to come out and greet me personally, which was a lovely touch. The food was fresh and delicious, and our family couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed their meal at GRIT throughout the entire wedding weekend. The airline chicken breast and roasted chile sweet potatoes were the crowd favorites, and I personally loved the chocolate torte with dark cherry coulis. I highly recommend GRIT for your next special occasion!
