Feedback
Nestled just outside Oxford, Grit offers a mix of dining experiences that can be both delightful and disappointing. Guests consistently rave about the attentive service and inviting atmosphere. Many dishes shine, particularly during Sunday brunch, with favorites like pork belly and shrimp captivating palates. However, some patrons express frustration with inconsistent food quality, mentioning overcooked proteins and bland flavors that fall short of expectations. Despite these criticisms, the accommodating staff ensures a welcoming environment for all dietary needs, highlighting Grit's potential as a culinary gem worth revisiting—with a hopeful eye on its evolving menu.
Food was not my favorite. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was so over cooked that I couldn't bite it. Worst chicken and waffles that I've had. Our server was great, but didn't fully understand the menu. My mother wanted a sauce left off and server said that it couldn't happen. Once we received the dish, the sauce had just been put on top, so, it could have been left off. We had 4 dishes, and 2 of them were terrific. Grit did take off the unsatisfactory meals from our bill, but, still, it was disappointing.
We love coming to write for Sunday brunch. the food and cocktails are always incredible and the service is unmatched. they go out of the way to let our little child feel welcome and accommodated. no matter how busy they are, the service and eating are always fabulous. we love grit!
Without a doubt, this is the best dining experience you can have in the Oxford area. The food is amazing, the staff is fantastic, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. A visit here is a must!
Did not get what ordered. What husband did get was perhaps going for a beef burgundy but the sauce would have been better with lamb. The fried cauliflower was part raw as the pieces were cut to big. The presentation was excellent for the meal, the taste was not bad, but not what should be for price and ambience. This foodie was not impressed.
Good food and beautiful atmosphere. The service was slow and I had to ask for a server after a wait. Parking: Difficult to park. Not enough spaces.
