I pulled up late 9pm for the recommended free camp sight, i decided to have a shower, which was cold and also the facilities need a really good clean, other then that nice quite free camping space View all feedback.
The bacon and egg rolls with onion are delicious! The coffee is decent, but not exceptional. The restroom could use some improvement. The dining area has plenty of tables and the staff are always friendly.
Expensive-$4.40 for each cup of coffee.. man in front of me was overcharged, and they almost did it to me as well- maybe the cashier was inexperienced..
A great place to stop. Friendly staff and excellent meals - roadhouse style but with some home made touches. eg home made scones.
Access to this is exactly on the right of the Caltex servo. A gravel pathway leads to the oval. Maybe 30 meters.toilets and showers are at the servo. These are free so appreciate what there is. Yes they could do with a thorough good scrub, or check out the public toilets in town. 3-4 mins walk. From the oval you can wander to the pub, or the servo has meals, coffee, drinks and fast food. Plenty of indoor seating. The big rigs pull in to the 24/7 servo so can be tad noisy and the truck interchange further up the main road, gets active late at night. DO NOT PARK at the interchange. The oval has plenty of room with signs to camp at the north boundary, if there has been heavy rain suggest to park near the tennis courts. There is a kids very small playground there too. Couple of coffee cafes, op shop, old buildings of interest. Thank you Tarcutta for opening up the oval free of costs for us travelers.
