Description

Nestled between George Street and Town Hall Station, this bakery offers a delightful array of traditional and unique breads. While classics like the pineapple bun impress with their buttery sweetness, adventurous tastes can indulge in items like spicy octopus buns and eel toast. Though the quality of the bread is often praised, there's occasional inconsistency, particularly regarding freshness late in the day. A spirited atmosphere is occasionally marred by staff performance, affecting the overall experience. Despite some mixed reviews, the bakery remains a compelling alternative to its competitors, showcasing a diverse and tasty selection worth exploring.

One of the best pineapple buns I've eaten tbh, it's buttery and sweet and the right ratio of crunchy:soft. The trays of bread are kind of hard to pull out with one hand when you're holding the portable tray in the other. This is a great place for quick snacks and food to save for later.

3.5/5 My favorite S-bread item is the prawn fillet bun. After tasting many buns from the two biggest rivals, Bread Top 85*C, I had an assumption that most ready-made-Asian-bakery-bread would have very little fillings and more on the floury side. But man, after I tried S-breads, I was surprisingly pleased with the quality. The only thing that you need to keep in mind is the time of purchase, as the fresh ones are made from early morning. I also tried the Japanese cheesecake and the fruit gateau, which I particularly felt in love with. It's so light and refreshing with seasonal fruit added in between layers of sponge cake and fresh cream. Yummmm!

Tried SBread at Hurstville station. It reminded me of bread top in its product offerings. I found the bread a little tough and the ganache in the chocolate horn was grainy which is unfortunate. It's cheaper so from price point, if you are looking for a cheap tummy filler, it'll do the job.

They will remove me as a cut over the usual Asian bakery. large selection, fresh bread with good cream, as well as a lot of unusual offered in the fillings. definitiw more expensive than, say bakery king on forest rd, but also much better quality.
