I was pleased to discover that they had a special vegan section on the menu with options for both appetizers and mains. I chose poories for my starter and a delicious chickpea and potato curry for my main dish. The restaurant also had gluten-free options for my friend who has celiac disease. In addition to meat dishes, Zaaffran offered a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options.

While the prices are on the higher side, the restaurant's prime location with a view of the harbor makes up for it.

The menu included Veg and Non-Veg platters, Butter Chicken, Beef Ribs, Mushroom Kulcha, Kheema Kulcha, Naan, Chicken Biryani, and Veg Biryani. It was a busy Friday night and initially, there was a delay in taking our order, but after a reminder, they were attentive and the food that arrived was absolutely delicious. The staff was courteous, the food was good, and the ambience was perfect. We had a great experience, especially thanks to Mr. Avinash who was very polite, friendly, and even arranged a special treat for the birthday girl. Thank you, Team Zaffran!

Food is absolutely delicious, some of the best Indian I’ve eaten in Sydney. Gorgeous location, and overall lovely and helpful wait staff. Marked down half a poi... read more Food is absolutely delicious, some of the best Indian I’ve eaten in Sydney. Gorgeous location, and overall lovely and helpful wait staff. Marked down half a point because we were quickly shown the bill and brought with the bill was the eftpos machine. Felt like we were being pushed to pay immediately which isn’t a nice feeling. Overall would come back and recommend to others to try it out, especially if you love Indian cuisine.
