24/9/2017 lunchtime: I ordered ananas fried rice. ananas, rosin, cashew and garnelen combo. I think it's strange combo, taste so bad and very mixed. I think they should stick with the taste they best know. I need my rating up to 2 stars below rated old review: very happy with eating. I saw blowing today, I chose number 67, curcuma marinated huh, portion is tiny I think a little expensive with the price she paid prik khing was awesome, papaya salat, good balance, sweet salty and spicy, very happy!.
Even though it's in a foodcourt, the ambience of this Thai restaurant with its street stall/market feel makes you feel like you are away from it all. You have the option of seating within their restaurant or out in the food court but either way the noise levels are high. It was busy when my friend and I arrived for a mid week lunch as we came peak time but the turnover for tables is relatively quick and we were able to find a table once we placed our order. I know I should have tried something different as they do have interesting menu items but i had a craving for pad se ew so I opted for that with beef. My friend had a rice and crispy chicken dish. My dish hit my cravings but the...read more
For all the Thai food lovers in Sydney, great news – there’s now a brand new Thai eatery by the glorious Chat Thai, tucked away in the Pitt Street Myer food court: Samosorn. Chat Thai is my favourite Thai restaurant in town. However, when I first heard about a “ new Chat Thai ” opening at the Myer food court, I wasn’t too intrigued as this was not the first time that Chat Thai’s ventured into a food court; and the quality of food had not been as consistent in their food court shop compared to their actual restaurants. Yet, I was blown away by Samosorn. —– HER{curio}MAJESTY SCORE SHEET —– Food : 9/10 Ambiance : 8/10 Service : 7.5/10 What I loved: The food. The...read more
...a food court type offering (but with its own seating area) located in the food court underneath the Myers on Pitt street mall. It's set up to have a kind of a Thai street stall food with wooden stalls and stools and a semi-open kitchen area. Service is fast but you also need to be quick if you want to grab a table during the peak lunch period of 12- 2pm weekdays. Order at the counter, grab your number and your dishes will be delivered to your table.
I find it hard to not order the khao mok gai turmeric chicken and rice when I'm at Samosorn. With both chicken thigh and rice cooked in turmeric and five spice, the flavour matches the vivid yellow hue of the tender, juicy chicken, which is pretty amazing with the not-too-hot green chilli and garlic sauce on the side.
No service. Terrible service, too expensive as the tiny portion. I won't come back ever. There are so many different Thai restaurants with great service in Sydney.
