The restaurant, now known as The Canteen, offers standard food served quickly but lacks in hospitality. The atmosphere is pleasant, although sitting on the upper level may attract seagulls. The portions are small, and the quality of some dishes is lacking. While the service is friendly, it could be more attentive. The view of the harbour bridge and opera house is exceptional, making it a great spot to relax after a show. The outdoor seating provides a nice ambiance, and the wine selection is commendable. The food quality pleasantly surprised some guests, while others found it average. The location next to the opera house is convenient, but prices are on the higher side. Overall, the bar offers a great view and experience, but guests need to be mindful of seagulls trying to steal their food.

Nice atmosphere, feeling very calm to have few drinks along the harbour and enjoy the view. Price is reasonable and quick service too. I’ll definitely visit again. View all feedback.
What Vladimir Durgan dislikes about Opera Kitchen:
It's a place to chill on a nice summer day or autumn, just relax in front of the harbour bridge or just right after you see a show in opera house. The food is ok, a bit pricey and the food is served a bit slow, you have to finish a few deinks before your food arrives.. But it's ok as the view is great.. View all feedback.
First of all this is now called The Canteen. It's situated on the lower level promenade close to the Opera House. It's a bit pricy as one would expect in a tourist area but it's a bit less than the others. The food is not exceptional. The karage chicken on a brioche bun was moist but the sauce was a bit distracting. Fries were good: crunchy outside and creamy inside. The ambiance is a bit like a cafeteria with good service.
Worst customer service and long wait for food...No one really cares about customer. And Bacon egg roll is the worst I have ever had in my life.
Fast, friendly service and the food was delicious. A little expensive, but it is the Opera House after all!
Opera Bar and Opera Kitchen are just an extension of each other and it doesn't matter which side you are sitting, the view of two of the most beautiful iconic structures of Sydney 1) Sydney Opera House and 2) Sydney Harbour Bridge. <br/ <br/ We weren't here much for food but did order wines which were not too expensive. Ordered a bowl of French fries which looked overpriced but the bowl was huge. <br/ <br/ Fantastic to return again.
