The menu clearly marked GF options and the three-course prix fixe menu was also gluten free. The service was friendly, and the cocktail and wine selection was excellent. I enjoyed a delicious and worry-free meal at this restaurant.

The staff are extremely accommodating and are willing to prepare shared items fresh for you upon request. I also enjoyed the egg station.

We had booked in advance to spend our 20th wedding anniversary at an a la carte restaurant with a romantic couple of drink... read more Our trip was extremely disheartening. We had booked in advance to spend our 20th wedding anniversary at an a la carte restaurant with a romantic couple of drinks prior to our booking at 6pm in the Graine bar. We came to the Mode Kitchen for those drinks when the bar was unexpectedly booked out for a function. Sign was on the inside not on the outside of the door which was weird. Anyway at the time of those drinks we confirmed with the lady at the front of the restaurant that our booking was in place and she wished us a happy anniversary. It was a pity that she didn't feel it was necessary to give us the heads up that the restaurant was also booked out for a function that evening. It was left as a surprise for when we came back down from our room dressed up that our seating was actually now in the bar area...no a la carte, no ambience, the function noisy and stressful, the waitresses were more concerned about the function and my husband had to go and rescue his own drink from the bar as they forgot it was there waiting. The waitresses were friendly if we saw them and obviously rushed off their feet.
