What Loyce Runte likes about Makoto:
Amazing amazing sushi. I truly madly deeply love sushi but not all places return the same love to me. Makato is so near to where I work yet I don't know why I never came here! Fresh , yummy and quite interesting mix. It is a sushi train and so much more. Coming back for sure. View all feedback. What Rebeca Leffler doesn't like about Makoto:
We used to love coming for lunches. Good choices, reasonable price.Last time we visited was in April 2017, the lunch menu has changed and got more expensive. The beef was tough and extremely salty. I had to leave half uneaten. Same for dinner, quite disappointed. I would bring the money and eat at closeby Tokio Fans (Norwest) for the premium price we are paying, at least we will get a view by the lake. View all feedback.

read moreMakoto is a popular sushi bar in World Square known for its conveyor belt-style service offering a variety of nigiri, sushi, and side dishes. While some reviews noted issues with missing items in takeout orders or inconsistent freshness of ingredients, many praised the fresh sushi served by the sushi train. Customers highlighted favorites such as the salmon platter, soft shell crab, and chawan mushi. Despite some mixed reviews on pricing and limited lower-range options, patrons enjoyed the overall experience and the interactive food preparation in front of the sushi bar. While some noted specific issues with particular dishes like edamame or service hours, the general consensus was positive, with recommendations to visit Makoto for a fresh and enjoyable sushi experience.
The best sushi ever. Must try. For hotate lover, hotate nigiri is highly reccomended. Dont forget to spare some space for caramel custard!
Love the food. The staff is very friendly and great service.
So good! Really fresh and they have iPads for each seat so you can order quickly. It was delicious and I will be back.
