What Dawn M likes about La Guillotine French:
Little restaurant with a large open window onto the street. We had 2 Ricard’s plus other drinks to begin whilst we looked at the menu. Prawns in garlic, snails, chicken pate and french onion soup were among the entrees. We chose soup and prawns which were tasty, followed by fish of the day-John Dory, chateaubriand and crispy lamb chops. All was nicely presented with french fries and mixed salads. the service was slow. the bark bourguignon was ok, but served a bit cold. we ordered the cream, it was not good. we also asked about the Dessert plate to share, the server did not know the price, but only said it was not expensive. we ordered it – obviously only a few small tortes and a minicake. was at the end surprised that it was $40. the server also made a big problem out of our layout of the bill that we gave a...
