I always have the fried rice at Chat Thai with sliced Thai chilli in vinegar and chilli powder condiments on the side, the fried rice is loaded with vegetables and tofu and comes with a fried egg on top that oozes yolk when you stick a fork in it, the fried rice by itself is flavourful but I decided to get the condiments that really cranked up the heat, so if you have a low tolerance for spice and heat don't get the... Amazing food, nice ambiance and very polite staff. I went with my friends and we ordered entree, drinks and dinner, I would say the place is reasonably priced. We were group of 8 and paid $300+ for the meal. The Mai Tai cocktail was bit strong, otherwise everything else was perfect.
The food here was outstanding! I have a food allergy, and they were willing to accommodate with one of their meals by removing the item that I couldn't eat. I've been to several places, and visiting from the US, it didn't seem like very many restaurants cared about my food allergy. But here at Chat Thai, the food and customer service out outstanding. When I come back to Sydney in January, I'll definitely be coming back here for my Thai fix.
Authentic Thai restaurant in The Galeries Food court. Offering various special noodles and food items in hot bars area.
This has always been my fav Chat Thai though it is small and in a food court. Food is always ready fast and tasty. I think because it’s during the pandemic so they mostly provide the plastic cutlery which I find a little hard to eat, especially the little spoon in a big bowl.
Tastes really good. I like spicy food but my tummy doesn't agree to it. Perfect and balanced flavours.
