eating itself is good and affordable, but the service is extremely slow. it feels like you have to ask them to come or you have to go out of yours to go and ask them to come after dingen, even after pressing the call button. View all feedback.
I had a great experience at Shabu Shabu Square. The prices for dinner were surprisingly affordable. I have been to many places like this, but I was impressed with this one. My whole family enjoyed our dinner and we will definitely be back soon. The restaurant also has a neat appearance.
I have only tried Shabu Shabu in Hawaii before and we were very loyal to a certain restaurant that was so delicious that we felt like we were cheating on it by trying a new place. We had heard good things about Shabuga and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The portions were perfect and the side dishes and broth were delicious. Shabuga has now earned a spot in our regular rotation of dining spots for when we have visitors.
The restaurant is so much better now under new management! I visited a few years ago and was disappointed, but I heard they have a new owner and it definitely shows. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, even though I usually don't enjoy them. I went with some friends who had never tried shabu shabu or hot pot before, and the server was very friendly and helped explain the experience. The tables were on beautiful brick floors with curtains, making it a lovely and COVID-safe dining environment. They also offer takeout. I went on a weeknight and it wasn't too busy, so I would recommend going when it's not too crowded if you prefer a quieter atmosphere.
This shabu shabu restaurant is fantastic. The prices are unbelievably affordable, even for dinner. We have been to many similar places, but this one really impressed us. The whole family enjoyed our dinner tonight and we will definitely be returning soon. The restaurant is also very clean and organized.
Shabuga is one of my top picks for shabu shabu restaurants in the Duluth/Suwanee area (right behind 9292 Shabu, although their prices are a bit high). I hadn't visited since before COVID, so I decided to give them another try. This place is quite understated (they've been open for about 3-4 years with only 22 Yelp reviews), but the food is really good, and I prefer it over Gom any day. We went on a Thursday evening, and I ordered the premium beef shabu with a side of kalgooksu. The great thing about shabu is that since it's not really cooked, the food comes out pretty quickly. Our food arrived promptly, and I noticed that their meat portions have gotten larger, which was a nice surprise. They used to offer refillable veggies, but I'm not sure if they still do. You can make your own sauce or ask them to make it for you. I always request the medium sauce and mix it with ketchup - it may sound odd, but it tastes great with a sweet kick. I also always get a side of their peanut sauce, which is fantastic. It seems homemade and has a rich nutty flavor. I highly recommend it. Overall, you can't really go wrong with shabu. Some people may say the portions are small, but if you order a side of carbs at the end, it's worth it. My meal cost $18.99 plus around $2.99 for the noodles, which is reasonable considering today's prices. It had been a while since my last visit, but this trip reminded me that I need to come here more often.
