Service was quick, the steamed shrimp dumplings in particular were awesome and the tempura shrimp roll and California roll were ok too. Things that I didn't care for was the owner (or manager? reprimanding one of the young employees in the kitchen within earshot of waiting customers, (if you haven't been here before, the open kitchen is immediately behind the order counter , there are certainly better ways of training staff!! Other that, my order was incomplete when I got home, the quantities of sushi rolls was mixed up. So, would I go back again? Hmmm...jury's still out. Maybe (for the shrimp dumplings!! .

I’d love to have some Katsudon and Natto with my rice. Their chicken dish is almost like Katsudon.

Paying... read more I hadn't been to Mon Cafe in a long time, and while the food is still outstanding, I noticed that the prices have definitely gone up since my last visit. Paying $17 for a teriyaki chicken bowl, two spring rolls, and a drink is more than I’m comfortable spending on lunch for the foreseeable future.
