I love their Wagyu steak and Takoyaki! ????
I hadn't been to Mon Cafe in a long time, and while the food is still outstanding, I noticed that the prices have definitely gone up since my last visit. Paying $17 for a teriyaki chicken bowl, two spring rolls, and a drink is more than I’m comfortable spending on lunch for the foreseeable future.
I ordered the steak bowl with a drink, and it was simply delicious. I added a little bit of ginger sauce to boost the flavor. I couldn't finish it all, so I savored the leftovers for lunch the next day.
I ordered the teriyaki steak and chicken, and it was absolutely fantastic with a generous portion. I also tried the fried California roll, which was delightful. The service was attentive and prompt too.
I really enjoy this place. It’s the closest I can get to authentic Japanese food. The dishes are very good. I’d love to have some Katsudon and Natto with my rice. Their chicken dish is almost like Katsudon.
