What Jody Spinka doesn't like about George's Meze:
Expensive and quality left a lot to be desired 12 for a very small bowl of Greek salad with no real fetta!! If you’re going to charge for a Greek salad please use Dodoni fetta- the meatballs! Definitely warmed by a microwave, soft and soggy ! The fillets of whiting were swimming in oil... totally ruined my experience for a Friday evening out that I was looking forward to having Greek food! View all feedback.
Very surprised, eating was great, recommending the pfeifen, bbq calamari and lamb spits. the service was impeccable, has done everything to ensure that we had a good time, will surely come back.
We only had our high time here and we could not be happier with the incredible service, eating and atmosphere this little gem of a restaurant. nick (George’s meze maître d) is a GREAT host and his geduld and vision for our great night was crucial to make it what it was a huge success. whether they have a high time or just have an intimate evening meal, we could not recommend a better restaurant in perth (we were for many.) with the great eating, traditional Greek live music and amazing service, it is like in santorini!
The first time to eat here and very impressed by the speed of service and also the food quality. we had to start the whistle in lemon sauce and it was great well cooked and full of taste. we had the meat-and-stock platter for the net, and that had lamb clutches, bark and chicken kere, chorizowurst, meatballs, salat and keile. all flesh was perfect and in any case will return, my only negatiw is the Greek salate especially the feta was bad. baclava and eis sunk with great music to finish.
As more frequent traveling to Greece and as a local in melbourne. probably not going here Greek food should be cheap, cheerful, hearty and tasty. our culinary experience in george’s meze wasn’t really something. the food was tasty enough, but the portions were small and the prices were high.
