I've been coming to Stratford for several years now, but this was my first visit to Romeo's. It was a great choice. Lots of great breakfast options, amazingly rich coffee, friendly and attentive wait-staff, and everyone's food looked terrific. I had the mediterranean omelette - roasted red peppers, spinach, feta cheese - and it was very good. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Romeos Corner Cafe:
We came to Romeos based on reviews and location. Very handsome friendly restaurant. Good ambience for breakfast. However as a celiac I was frustrated. No gluten free options per se. The option is to eliminate the toastVegetarian options, yes. But when I requested my omelet be made with egg whites the waitress response was "no". And no vegan options. The restaurant menu does not make any reference to gluten free or ve... View all feedback.
We are traveling in recent years to stratford, ontario, mostly in bed breakfasts. this is the first year, since covid, that stratford has opened with a full game plan, every place we looked to stay was booked for the nights we wanted. we chose the best western plus arden romeos corner cafe, which was a delicious, friendly gem to the hotel. the decor is inviting with jazz playing in the background. it quickly filled to breakfast and we noticed that most of the clientele were regularly close and far. on a day we had extra thick cut French toast, we had a classic eggs benedict on a cheese-sebiskuit with finely crushed potato fruit on the side. I can't imagine a trip to stratford without visiting her again! Thank you.
Eating was good, and a good value for the money, but the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. five stars for the server.
We stayed in the best western, which is accessible to foot and decided to have an breakfast here. we came as they opened, and it was a bit cool as we entered. once a steady flow of humans sat there. they seemed to be regular because server they are greeted with names. I ordered the egg-benedict. I had ordered the iron to be soft, but that wasn't what I got. it was still edible, only not my preference. what I liked is that it came on a cookie instead of on an English muffin. the other problem was that they were only ground with crushed potato. they have not fried at home or dice. only shredded, again not my favorite mother had hamen the child's meal with a side order that was perfect for her, as she can't eat a big breakfast. our server (elen) was friendly and prompt and managed to stay on all with ease.
I'm sure if the personal did not ignore my daughter and I didn't utterly, it might have been nice. he waited 22 minutes on one standing, with menus and the two server went from us, clear the commands of five other tables that came and sat after us. at last it went in disgust. maybe after our game we find a beautiful place.
We went here since we ran into poor service at the Best Western restaurant for breakfast. The menu here is great as it offers some different options for the casual brunch staples but still has the typical pancakes, French toast, Benedict for those who prefer simple. Prices are not bad, ranging around $12-20 for the entries. However, the cafe doesn't open (at least on Saturdays) until 8:30am. When we arrived at 8:50am the place was 80% full with two waitress running around trying their best to manage. A table near us with menus walked out since it didn't look like they'd placed an order yet. All in all, took almost an hour for food but the waitress did her best to keep us informed. While waiting we saw more staff arrive, by 9:30am or so they managed to get the patio open and the restaurant flow seemed less frantic. Overall, the spot is nice, the staff were doing the best they could. Recommend going mid-morning to this spot if they still are short staffed during the festival season.
