Not worth the time or money. Mediocre food especially considering price and what else is around. Wine by the glass was served in a three sip portion definitely not worth the $13 cost. Switched to draft beer and got served a beer in the smallest glass I have ever seen. Disappointed for a hotel of this caliber. $130 meal left both me and my wife disappointed and she wanted to have cup ramen back at the room.
I am in love with this restaurant. It is so nice, authentic ceilings, fireplace and all with classic decoration. I tried lemon rice, starter with local meats, a great bottle of Italian red wine.
Adriano Feraco and Mandy Schleifer have created a superb, authentic Italian ristorante in one of the original rooms at Kempinski St Moritz. Spaghetti with truffles, parmesan and oil is traditional but very difficult to do perfectly. Mine was perfect; and that must be testament to the skill of Assistant Chef Kerstin Mielke who you will very likely not see but who runs an exceptionally disciplined kitchen. The lobster is worthy of any New York french bistro and the beef is sourced from chef selected providores and cooked to perfection. They do a range of traditional Italian dishes. The cheese board and desserts are first class. Service is swift and expert. Marcel, Toni, Rok and Francisco know the menu and the extensive wine list (Italian and French featured) intimately and they spare no effort to ensure you make good choices and that what is served meets your expectations. Enoteca is always busy and you will have to book or hope for a cancellation. Mandy seats her guests carefully so if you are alone you do not feel out of place; they take time to talk if you want but know when to and when not. There are four big table arrangements for families and gatherings. Perhaps it ought to be possible to sit at the central square bar and preparation area. Ambience is bustling with elegance although the lighting could be brighter (even by European standards). Perfect apres ski or after climbing, hiking or a day in the spa or even after travel. Mandy can call on staff within the hotel to cover 40 languages (all continents and including Chinese Japanese Arabic and Hindi). Make a point of speaking with her; she will help with any question. It is worth paying the slightly elevated prices for the security of being within Herr Zeuke's inimitable Hotel des Bains.
An excellent experience that will never be forgotten.. perfect service from a very friendly staff and a great restaurant manager.
Me and my husband had dinner in this restaurant while staying in Kempinski. The first thing to mention the service is spectacular. Plates were always landing on our table both at once two waitresses serving. We have never seen such a service elsewhere. The food was really amazing. I ordered salad for starter, the portion was really generous and salad was very fresh. My husband had a beef tartar to start which was very good as well. For the main dish we had raviolis with lobster and it was really out of this world. Very pricey restaurant, but very good. At the very end when we asked for the bill they brought us some chocolates. Highly recommended.
