Beautiful view and wonderful staff, but the food was a huge let down at the price point. The duck risotto was watery and tasted like old sesame oil. The mustard that came with the pretzel was really bitter, although the pretzel was fantastic. Pulled pork sandwich was okay, and the tomato soup was nice. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$50–60 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a pleasant restaurant if you want something to eat when you're visiting the museum. There wasn't a big selection of items on the menu but what they served was good. I had the seafood chowder which was really good. My wife had the bratwurst which she found a bit too gamey for her but I thought it was fine. If you can get a table near the windows you'll be rewarded with some lovely views down over St. John's. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$40–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I was looking for signs of Red Oak and it looks like they call themselves The Rooms now. The seafood stew was good but I would put a little less spice as it tasted only pepper towards the end. I liked the cod the most. The portion looked small at first but was actually decent as the bowl was a tall one hope there were spoons that go with the kind of bowls. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
