Burger Battle Review: Boogie Burger (Memorial Café You know the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover”? That was exactly my experience with Memorial Café. The burger photo on the website didn’t do it any justice, so I went in with pretty low expectations. The space itself also isn’t as modern or polished as some others, but it’s cozy, warm, and has that classic café feel, complete with books you can actually sit and read. Now to the surprise, the Boogie Burger. It features a vibrant purple bun, a house-made marinated beef patty infused with green apple and spices, and comes with sweet potato fries and a sweet chili mayo. At $15.99, it’s the most affordable burger I’ve had in this battle, and honestly, one of the best value-for-money options. Those purple buns were fresh. The beef is served in thin chunks, incredibly tender, juicy, and well-marinated. The flavour leans more savoury despite the green apple infusion, and it all comes together in a rich, messy, and satisfying bite. Everything just melts in your mouth nicely. It’s served with some coated sweet potato fries giving it a nice crunch. I genuinely enjoyed every bit of it. The service was great, and the atmosphere felt calm and perfect for a solo outing or a quiet meet-up. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $10–20
