If you're seeking authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the best you'll find in St. Augustine. I rated them 4 stars because, at $3.99 per taco, they were the most expensive tacos I've ever encountered. (I've usually seen them priced around $1.50 to $3.)

They rarely answer their phone, and when they finally did, I was told they wouldn't take my order because it was too close to closing time. Since when is 40 minutes considered too close? Their closing times vary each day, which is frustrating because there's no consistent schedule. I’ve decided not to eat here anymore because it’s just too much hassle.

It's definitely a family-friendly spot with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Having spent 25 years in the Bay Area, this is the kind of Mexican food I remember fondly. The only thing I’d love to see added to the menu is some street corn!
