gypsy cabin is a long clip for st. augustine native. their menu changes daily, but they are ready to prepare dishes to order if they are not on the daily menu and they have the ingredients to hand. many vegetarian options are available and solid vegan options, as well as their home dressing is a legendary garlic and nutritional yeast masterpiece. get the house salad with black tofu or the cocosnus cracked tofu dinner... eating was good, but nothing to rave. the tofu was not seasoned at all, only thrown into the sauce. also had a hummus plate that was decent and filled. our server was super though and very accommodating. View all feedback.
This place has been a long time ago. the decor is unique, like the dishes and aromas. beautiful place for an intimate dinner. large vegan options.

I ordered the portobello melt w/pasta salat an order of fritten. eating was good, but the customer service needs work. my man and I went in and were greeted as if we were not in the restaurant. we were tired and a waitress recognized our innocence and said she would come back to get our drink orders. 15 minutes later, she did not return to our table, but to a table next to the one who came after us and took her orders. I was very surprised when she came back to our table and asked if no one came to them? I said no ma’am. she answered, I asked one of the others waiter to help them. wow, she said. as if she couldn't believe nobody came by. she then took our drinks and food orders in which she said I will make sure that I place her order before the other couples. my man and I are moving in the mai in the opposite. we will not return to this restaurant.

We are locals and this is one of my favoirte places in town. They always have a vegan option (Or something that can be made vegan) on the menu. Don't be discouraged by the lack of descriptions on the menu (there are no descriptions on anything), because the wait staff here are all experienced and helpful. I personally love the nut crusted tofu (they can do it vegan), and the tofu fra diablo.
