Wow! Everything at Drake's Bistro was absolutely perfect! After a rough day and stopping by the auto shop, I decided to walk here, and it was completely worth it. The chocolate cake was flawless, and the turkey club sandwich was incredibly tasty. The loaded fries were so filling that I even took half home for dinner. The service was exceptional, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I will definitely be coming back! Plus, the last piece of chocolate cake from the menu was huge!
I paid $13.31 for a Reuben sandwich and was disappointed it didn’t come with pickles or chips, as the server said they were too costly to include. While the sandwich itself was tasty, next time I’ll choose Ann O'Malley’s instead.
A good friend took us to lunch here recently, and we really enjoyed the food. However, I was surprised to see that the club sandwich was made with only two slices of bread instead of the usual three, and the bread wasn't toasted. It was definitely different. On the bright side, the waiter was excellent.
I visited Drake's on a bit of a spur-of-the-moment decision, and I ended up becoming a regular customer. It might just have been the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and really went above and beyond. I highly recommend stopping by!
The food here is fantastic. My top choice is the datil cheesesteak, which I absolutely love. The Monte Cristo is also good, though it's not prepared with traditional French toast; instead, it uses toasted bread, but it still manages to be quite tasty. The cheese sauce-covered tater tots are an excellent side. I was a bit disappointed with the Cuban sandwich, as it lacked the Mojo seasoning I was hoping for. Overall, I really enjoy dining at this restaurant. Be aware that parking is limited, so it's wise to arrive early or be ready to walk a little. It's located in St. Augustine, away from the tourist areas, yet not too far from the fort.
