Was Dayna Reynolds at Smokehouse Café a mag?
Had a lovely lunch here last Friday. There were 6 adults and we shared all the smoked platers. They were all yum but the seafood and cheese ones were a stand out. The rose went well with the platters too. We also had 7 children with us and they had a lovely time running in the garden. View all feedback.

What Sonia C dislikes about Smokehouse Café:
Food disappointing and over priced. Scallops entree was mean two miniature scallops although it was tasty. Smoked lamb was okay but very bland and uninteresting with no accompaniments except a blob of blackberry. Even the side of pumpkin had nothing to raise it above the ordinary. Will not be back as it seems the menu doesn’t change. Not in for more disappointment. Can cook better at home! View all feedback.

I was really excited to go here, however upon arrival they had already made a mistake with our booking.

I always make it a point to come here every time I'm in the ACTIt's a lovely little spot a bit of a drive north from Canberra.

4 of us decided we wanted to have a lunch during the truffle festival and chose Poachers Pantry, and what a good choice it was. It was a fixed 4 course menu, with some flexibility to suit dietary concerns and we chose to have the selected wines for each course; very nice Wily Trout wines very much complemented each course. For starters, a truffle meringue with porcini, the entrée was scallops & sweet breads, followed by a shiraz sorbet with truffle oil (unbelievable). The main course was duck breast and the ladies opted for the lamb rack (both really good, and cooked to perfection). The dessert was a dark & white chocolate cake, coffee, sweet chilli, mascarpone, truffle gelato (delicious).A beautiful meal, space over a long time which was lovely, and nice sitting in a sun soaked room that brightened a cold Canberra day. The service was excellent and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Good value for good food.
