We started with the pork belly and zucchini f... read more We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was of excellent quality and the service was top-notch. We started with the pork belly and zucchini flower entrees, both of which were delicious. Our mains, the beef rib and lobster, were also well balanced and flavorful. For dessert, we enjoyed an assortment of sorbets with intense vanilla, lemon, and berry flavors, as well as a decadent chocolate fondant with a berry compote. Each dish was perfectly paired with matching wines. The wait staff were attentive and efficient, providing faultless service. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and enjoyed delicious food. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it for a casual brunch or special event. The property is beautiful and offers a lot to enjoy. 5 stars!

There is ample parking available on-site, as well as designated areas for picnic packages. The food was delicious, but the portions for the 3-course meal were a bit small. The presentation of the beef ribs was not very visually appealing. Due to COVID, the interior spacing could be improved as we were seated closely to the table behind us. However, overall it was a positive experience and the staff were accommodating with providing high chairs for children.

The meal started with a smoked scallop amuse bouche where we first saw the dinner party sized smoker in action, followed by some of Poachers own prosciutto paired with a smoked mozzarella, a few minutes more entertained with fillets of ocean trout smoked to perfection in front of us, finally rounded out by a smoked cream cheese cheesecake that delighted the palette. Matched wines (all Poachers own of course) rounded out a special meal. Worth the short drive out of Canberra, go as relaxed or dolled up as you like but go with an open mind to trying new flavours- you won't be disappointed. Because the restaurant was closed except for this group we had attentive but not hovering service and delightful conversation about the history of Poachers Pantry and the many and varied experiments with smoking over time.

They offer a three-cours... read more Beautiful place for a fancy lunch with wine. Located a short drive from Canberra but surrounded by vineyards. The food was top quality. They offer a three-course set menu for lunch from Fri-Sun and brunch options for Sat and Sun. For the set menu, there is a meat option and a vegetarian option but they let you choose your preferred dish for each course from either menu. Highly recommend!
