I accidentally stumbled on Oliver Brown Chocolate Cafe. It was before work and I was looking for a cafe to buy a bacon and egg roll. I’d seen this new cafe a few times and decided to give it a try. Unknown to me, Oliver Brown wasn’t your regular cafe, it was a chocolate cafe! This is both good and bad, as they don’t sell bacon and egg rolls but they do sell a lot of chocolate deliciousness. What Sanford Carter dislikes about Trevs @Dickson:
My pasta, the saffron prawn, was really bland and flavourless but hubby thought his, the squid pasta special, was ok. We were never asked if we were happy with our meals so had no chance to actually tell them what we thought. We went elsewhere for dessert, they don't have a decent wine selection so no dessert wines to pair with anything sweet. View all feedback.
Had the collective set for Sunday breakfast, best I've had for a while with a bit of everything in just right portions. The place is a bit trendy and bookings are recommended for groups.
Friendly service but food portion looked miserable. Ordered the corn fritters with smoked salmon. It was literally 2 pieces of corn fritters with 2 slices of smoked salmon placed on top. Tasted alright but would not return as I think that it's a bit expensive ($17) for such s portion. Hot chocolate was too sweet.
A pretty decent brekky spot. Nothing special about the interior, just cafe style. However, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. I tried French toast brioche with blueberry sauce - it was YUM!
