I will never visit this restaurant again. It was extremely dirty, and the chairs were very uncomfortable. The restrooms and the path to them were in poor condition, unpleasantly dirty and smelly. The kitchen was also very unclean; it clearly needed a good scrubbing, and I even saw the owner go inside. The chickpeas were overly soft and completely tasteless, while the kebabs were just plain meat. We ordered lamb kebabs, but they lacked any lamb flavor and seemed like they were frozen. The rice was bland and not fluffy; it was a terrible mix of white and brown rice. I just hope I don't get sick from this experience. Additionally, I came down with a sore throat and had an allergic reaction afterward. Please consider removing that annoying doorbell—it sounds like a prison every time someone enters!
I have had kabobs through out the tristate but VA Kabob has one of the best kabobs and side dishes. The service is friendly and the quality and quantity of food is good. I have been going there for years and never had a bad experience. If you are looking for an authentic afghan kabobs…look no further.
We ordered bone in chicken and VA special salad, kabobs were moist and flavorful, naan, rice everything was fresh. Moreover it felt light after eating.
