Tinga Tacos - Springfield
Tinga Tacos
Description
Nestled in a bustling area, this taco restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences. While some patrons rave about the delightful flavors, especially the Fu Yu vegan taco and the surprise $1.50 taco special, others voice disappointment over greasy offerings and lackluster service. Cleanliness is noted as a positive, yet customer service inconsistencies mar the experience, with reports of unfulfilled promises and indifference to feedback. Despite the charm of the venue and great location, many diners suggest seeking alternatives for a more authentic culinary delight. Overall, the restaurant shows promise but needs to refine its quality and service.

If you’re in search of overpriced tacos that have a slimy texture, then this is the spot for you. They’re about $4 each and utterly reminiscent of cafeteria food—no exaggeration here. While the service was satisfactory, the food was a huge letdown, especially given the steep prices. I spent $17 on three tacos, and unfortunately, none of them were worth eating. I strongly recommend checking out Don Tonos or any other food truck for a more authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced meal. Don Tonos has a far better menu.
Two weeks later, we decided to give the restaurant another chance. However, upon arrival, we were informed that only one of our combo meals would be replaced, which was quite disappointing. The discovery of hair in our food had already ruined our appetite, and we ended up not enjoying our meal at all. It was evident that the owner did not prioritize customer satisfaction, despite their earlier promise to replace all three combo meals. We called the restaurant to share our dissatisfaction with how they handled the situation and let them know we would no longer be returning as customers. It was unfortunate to witness such a lack of concern for customer experience and business integrity. In hindsight, we regret not accepting the refund they offered us that day, as it became clear that our loyalty to the restaurant was not appreciated. Be cautious with Tinga Tacos - their customer service can be quite unprofessional.
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely wonderful! The food was fresh and delightful, featuring unique and incredible taco combinations. The ambience was charming and welcoming. If you haven't visited yet, you definitely need to give it a try!
Tasty tacos and friendly staff. The service was quick and the lunch special was reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the guac. I would definitely recommend for a quick lunch or late night munchies.
