Description
Hidden amidst contrasting reviews, this local dive bar offers a unique blend of charm and challenges. Guests can enjoy a cozy atmosphere filled with quirky decor, like vintage shirts hanging from the ceiling, while relishing ice-cold beer and engaging in friendly games of pool. The standout feature appears to be the warm hospitality from bartenders who foster a welcoming vibe, especially for regulars. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, the only bar in Springfield that permits smoking and serves drinks.
This establishment is a complete joke! A small group of friends and I were celebrating a birthday, but as soon as we walked in, the place reeked of cigarette smoke and felt like something out of the 1960s. We were immediately met with the glares of grumpy, drunk patrons at the bar, making us feel unwelcome. Despite this, we decided to give the place a chance and sat near the pool table. The bartender rudely asked for our IDs, only to complain about one friend's temporary ID and refuse service to another friend with an out-of-state California ID. It was clear they did not want us there from the start, so we left and had a great time at a different bar down the street. Overall, this place is trash, unwelcoming, with staff who are unpleasant and customers who seem to have a drinking problem. If you're not a local with a drinking problem, I would recommend staying away, especially if you are from out of state.
Are you looking for a traditional tavern with ice-cold beer, a cozy atmosphere, and friendly locals? Look no further! The friendly service and welcoming regulars make this a fantastic spot to visit.
The staff and patrons made us feel welcome and there is a wonderful pup named Nina who welcomes you.
