Pollo Campero - Springfield
Pollo Campero
Description
El Pollo Campero in Springfield, Virginia, offers a nostalgic taste of home for many, yet recent visits reveal a need for improvement in service and consistency. Customers have reported long wait times and issues with order accuracy, exacerbated by staff's communication difficulties. While the menu features flavors reminiscent of traditional Latin cuisine—like empanadas and yuca fries—the execution often falls short, with some items arriving dry or incomplete. Overall, while the restaurant provides a promising dining option, a sharper focus on customer service and food quality is essential to compete with established chains.
Feedback
I order 9 fried nuggets, but not up to 10 minutes later, they told me they hadn't fried anymore. after reception I only got 6, most were dry, there were about 10 Yuca frits. pollo campero is good, but this place is not special when they play with their hairs about the huh.
We placed our order at 2:45, with an estimated ready time of 3:05. We arrived around 3:10 and were advised that our order would be ready in the next 5-7 minutes. However, I did not receive my order until 3:35. This was extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
This restaurant was awful. My large family and I came in after a long trip looking for a place to eat, but were disappointed to find that the available tables were dirty and there was trash everywhere. There were only three employees working, and we had to clean up three tables ourselves in order to sit down. After we started taking pictures of the mess, an employee finally came out to clean up. I do not recommend this place at all - it's not worth your money.
Staff does not appear to understand almost anything I said to them. Tried to cancel an order that was mistakenly made and they only were able to understand the word order. The staff then hung up on me.
