This is a fantastic little breakfast spot! The prices are surprisingly low and haven't seemed to rise with inflation. Don't be deceived by the affordability— the food is served hot, quickly, and tastes great. I’ll definitely be returning!

Delicious food! I really enjoy this place, but it tends to get a bit crowded because it's on the smaller side. Haha!

After a long wait, we finally had the opportunity to return to the Parkway! I discovered that it is now under new ownership, and while it still has a fresh atmosphere, it continues to exude that comforting charm of a beloved place from the past. The staff were fantastic, and the food was truly delicious!

My daughter and I traveled to Springfield to pick up a couple of rescued shelter dogs. While we were there, we decided to stop by Parkway Cafe, and we were delighted with our experience. We both ordered breakfast, which came with a hearty serving of scrambled eggs with cheese, four or five strips of bacon, biscuits and gravy, and hash browns. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was outstanding—fast and friendly! If we find ourselves back in Springfield, Illinois, we'll definitely stop at Parkway Cafe again!

The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The real disappointment, though, was the coffee—it was honestly the worst I've ever tasted in Springfield! It even arrived in a mug that looked like it belonged in a retirement community. Really? After we finished our meal, both my friend and I ended up feeling quite ill, which prompted me to lower my rating from 3 stars to 1 star.
