IHOP - Springfield
IHOP
Description
In recent visits to a local restaurant, patrons experienced a mixed bag, highlighting severe service issues amid some pockets of commendable staff performance. Many diners reported long wait times for seating and food—often exceeding two hours—even with the restaurant only partially full. While a few praised the food quality and cleanliness, others lamented undercooked and cold dishes, as well as messy tables and floors. Despite the evident strain on a limited staff, some waitstaff managed commendably under pressure, delivering friendly service. Overall, the inconsistency in service and food quality leaves many reconsidering repeat visits.

Monday, 11:00 AM, Wabash, Springfield, IL. The food could have been enjoyable if it had been served warm. The restaurant wasn't busy, and there were at least three staff members attending to customers. I won't be returning.
Everything was great until the waitress spilled lemonade in my lap. It was definitely an accident and she apologized sincerely. The manager compped my meal and gave us $10 off our next visual which was cool. Overall it was good my wife loves the new menu and the food was good.
The pancakes, in particular, as well as the bacon, ham, eggs, and coffee were all excellent! The waitress was quite busy, but she provided great service!
