After a long drive this place was just what we had hoped to find for a lunch stop. The beer garden was a wonderful sun trap and we both enjoyed our food, service was quick and the staff friendly. Pricing in Windermere is on the expensive side, but this place represented good value for money. View all feedback.
What Jeremy Carter doesn't like about The Elleray:
I stayed in the b&b ! Lovely atmospheric country pub, dog friendly and close to train station (5 min walk). Rooms excellent size well furnished with quality bath/shower rooms. Surprisingly modern considering the age of the building! Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it . Will definitely go again. View all feedback.
What a nice place to stay. great location, room very nice and comfortable and breakfast was just delicious. friendly staff and defo stay there soon again
Last season for long weekends. really nice room, very clean and beautiful pub, really good veggie breakfast. we would book here again.
Went for lunch with my mum on Sunday. Food was lovely! We ordered of the £5 menu (served from 12-3) the portions were huge! Mum ordered the soup and sandwich but didn't really feel like having the soup so we asked to swap the soup for chips instead and there was no problem in doing so! Food was fresh and really tasty!
The food is amazing and the staff r friendly and u dont have 2 wait ages 4 your food 2 come. Every time we go 2 Bowness we walk it all the way 2 The Elleray Hotel.
I have a nice stay here. the staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size and very well equipped with everything they need. eating was excellent and generous. they would stay for a peaceful break, much to do round or just stay and relax.
