The tasting menu was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The owner made a special effort to visit each table, which made us feel right at home. Standout dishes included foraged mushrooms with egg yolk and truffle, salt-aged duck, and a delightful dessert featuring gingerbread, bee pollen, marigold, and sweet cheese mousse. Five stars aren’t enough! The restaurant is small, with limited seating, but the service is impeccable and friendly. They showcase the best food that Cumbria has to offer, and the quality, creativity, and flair are evident in every dish. There’s really nothing that could be improved! I visited in April and can’t wait to return soon.
