I visited the Saturday before Christmas with my husband who is 78 and therefore vulnerable. The cafe was absolutely packed out with insufficient space between tables and no windows open. We should have left straight away but I wasn't quick enough to realise the extent of the danger signals. People were coming in after us grabbing tables whilst we waited for a table to be cleaned. Me and my husband stumbled upon this lovely cafe whilst wondering round Kendal that seems to be mainly full of barbers and takeaways (sadly). It’s a hidden gem, lovely and simplistic, amazing cakes and great coffee. I think the table situation could be addressed as there are only large tables with 8 or 6 seats and the odd window seats. Very welcoming staff and excellent coffee and hot chocolate. Food looked delicious and the cakes were delightful. A wide range of food so highly recommended.
