Me and my husband stumbled upon this lovely cafe whilst wondering round Kendal that seems to be mainly full of barbers and takeaways (sadly). It’s a hidden gem, lovely and simplistic, amazing cakes and great coffee. I think the table situation could be addressed as there are only large tables with 8 or 6 seats and the odd window seats. I’m fine sharing my coffee with other people but I know it would totally put some... View all feedback.

I visited the Saturday before Christmas with my husband who is 78 and therefore vulnerable. The cafe was absolutely packed out with insufficient space between tables and no windows open. We should have left straight away but I wasn't quick enough to realise the extent of the danger signals. People were coming in after us grabbing tables whilst we waited for a table to be cleaned. Staff allowed this to happen instead... View all feedback.
Had a fantastic veggie burger with fries on gluten free panini bread! They also have GF brownies and scones.
Good tea and coffee in a nice environment cafe is nicely decorated. But the carrot cake we ordered was v dry. Prices are standard but generous portions.
I think this is my favourite place to go for cake in Kendal. The Guinness cake is amazing. I've had some exceptional blondies here including a cinnamon roll blondie that blew my mind. They do some delicious savory options too. Variety of seating and dog friendly.
Popped in for light lunch and cake. My husband had a Mediterranean pie and I had cheese and onion quiche, huge portion. Both very tasty and good value. We then shared a coconut and cherry slice.
I had an ENORMOUS cinnamon roll and it was the most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever eaten in my life. Absolutely 100% recommend this place!
