hotel on the ski slope. so superlocation. food enough. I am still the same but quite tasty and pretty much. I will always find something for undemanding luxos and brblal. damage that the pools and sauna were closed. the first thing that didn’t allow it. View all feedback.
What MSportler doesn't like about Girasole:
We thought about bringing our own food to the ski slopes but then on our first day chose to give it a try here. It was a big mistake and we deeply regret! The staff is very rude, the food looks disgusting like thrown in containers to feed pigs. The entrance to the self service area is locked. How welcoming is that? Well, you need to unlock it yourself like if you go into a garden of your neighbour. The prices are oka... View all feedback.
I felt I had to post this review as I was extremely worried about my son after reading some of the others . He spent 6 nights here last week and came home having had the best time! He is a sensible 13yr old and gave me some good feedback. Rooms basic and as you would expect in a place full of teenagers jumping in beds and carrying on. Some rooms upgraded recently, others dated but just a place to bunk down and clean. Clean towels every day. Maids every day. Food lunch pizza pasta chips chicken and veg. Evening meal lots of variety of pasta large portions cheeses/cold meat and rolls on offer too. Mary at reception particularly fun with the kids all staff lovely. Ski instructors marvellous especially Gary. Kids able to get gondolas down to Bormio to stock up on water/fruit quite a few shops there cheap minimart. Evenings karaoke, games room 2 Euro for pool table fairly priced disco quizzes. My son would go back to this hotel if the trip was offered again.

The staff is very rude, the food looks disgusting like thrown in containers to feed pigs. The entrance to the self service area is locked. How welcoming is that? Well, you need to unlock it yourself like if you go into a garden of your neighbour. The prices are okayish. If you want to buy drinks only, you need to pay first at the kiosque/cashier. The elderly man working at the cashier will throw your card or return money at you, so be aware of an Italian man who certainly dislikes tourists and his job. The only good thing is the seating outside.
I have been here during the winter and was unimpressed by its mass produced plates. This time it is summer and i am equally unimpressed. A menu on a board outside without prices should be a headsup but we ordered anyway. The food was ok, not great but ok. We had been stranded by the strange decision to close the lifts down to bormio between 12.45 and 14. Its a trap but if it happens again i would go elsewhere. The barman was not welcoming...too busy stuffing his face with something and as its such a large place as needed in the winter it looks so sad to see 80% closed up even the mens and ladies toilets are locked forcing you into 1 disabled toilet. That is once you pass the inviting 'for customers only sign ' so sad. If you decide to open, do it properly not reluctantly. Pizzocheri, cottoletta, 1/2 litre of wine, litre of water and 2 coffees euro 29 Go to the restaurant/hotel just up the hill. I didnt eat there but it wont be worse.

I have stayed here a number of times now, normally with groups of school children but this time was with friends. The rooms are as you would expect in a ski resort and are very clean. Every member of staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic and varied. Would highly recommend.
