This place is tucked out of the way down an alley, so you're almost not sure if you're going to the right place, but it has a bright green door. The place is packed with plants and has a cool branch chandelier. We were a party of six and tried everything on the menu. It was a lot of food, but worth it. Their menu changes pretty regularly, so I don't know if I'm remembering everything we tried.Must tries: scallop tostada, beef tartare, cheddar cornbread, spring green cavatelli. These were excellent. Scallops were tender, the beef tartare had a good flavor, and the cornbread was the most commented-on dish. The cavatelli had a nice, springy texture.Other dishes I enjoyed: bavette steak, grilled lamb shoulder, and the salads. There were a few more that I can't remember, but overall the dishes were super enjoyable. We tried the lemon meringue tart, which came highly recommended.Grilled beets taste like dirt to me, so I would skip that. Their house pickles were fine, but not anything special. Service was excellent.
We love stopping here when we're in Boston. The food and service are always top notch and the ambience is great as well. Parking can be tough so get there a little early. Here's a food rundown:Field Green Salad: great to start with, fresh lettuce and great textures.Cheddar Jalapeno Cornbread: this is so good. It's the dish you'll remember most. Comes with a miso butter and picked veggiesCavatelli: this was good, all the tastes of spring!Sweet Potato: really good veggie side
LOVED field and vine!!! The vibe was so cute with beautiful decor and a plant wall, it wasn't too loud, and the wait staff was very kind. Our server had great recommendations and we loved everything we had!The menu is super seasonal so everything you get is super fresh they even had ramps!!! My favorites were the scallop tostada and the spring green cavatelli. Definitely will be coming back when the seasons change to try a new menu!
Absolutely delicious farm to table restaurant! Perfect for vegetarians. The service is so friendly helpful and helped answer all questions. Amazing wine list to compliment the meal and a beautiful, relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere. We were a group of 4, so we tried 10 savory and 4 desserts $300 for 4 with gratuity but no drinks). The cost is important because it creates expectations. The ingredients are amazing, the menu is great but unfortunately everything you order will not blow you away. Things we loved: cornbread, tuna carpaccio, mushroom salad, scoop of the day corn ice cream). Things that we may love in the future: little gem salad, beet salad, potato with trout roe. Miscellaneous aspects the restaurant could easily improve: seating reservations on time we were seated ten minutes late), the gratuity 20% and kitchen fee 3% should be communicated before we order, air conditioning it's not good enough).
