Was Eugene Wilson at Fiddlehead a mag?
Always a good time here, hats off to the chef, the gumbo was great only got a few bites because I ordered a burger, the fries are handcut. I stay up on the Snowshow mountain but will leave the mountain to have a beer and dinner. View all feedback.

What Alex Smith dislikes about Fiddlehead:
Great local dining option at the base of the mountain. It’s not as vegetarian-friendly as advertised, but there are a few vegetarian choices available. They serve a nice brunch in the morning and offer live music late on weekends. You've got to visit the fiddle head while in the snowshoe area. Wednesday is wing night!

We had the daily special and cheeseburger and it’s the best one we have eaten in the Snowshoe area!!

I went on a Wednesday night, a time when most places at Snowshoe Resort were closed in early fall. Wednesday is wing night, and I arrived around 5:30 PM. The atmosphere is casual, and while I don't eat much meat, I decided to order a drink at the bar and was given a menu. There were plenty of open tables, and the service was quite friendly. I ordered a tuna taco for $5.00, which was not made from canned tuna—rather, it was grilled and very tasty, accompanied by a nice slaw, served on a cold flour tortilla with some sauce and avocado. The restaurant was welcoming to families, who gathered in the dining area, while the bar and music room were buzzing with construction workers enjoying their meals. A band started playing around 7:00 PM. Although Google Maps describes the place as vegetarian, I would say it is more vegetarian-friendly. They did have garbanzo burgers on the menu, but I didn't try them. I've been back since then, and I find it to be a nice, unpretentious local spot, especially if you want a change from the Subway down the road.

Having worked in restaurants for years, I believe that if you’re closing early, you should at least provide a limited menu. Make sure to arrive early!
