This place was so good I wished I would have gone every day I was in town. We had a group of 8 and had made reservations. All the food we ordered was great but maybe pass on the charcuterie. I had ordered the filet and when it came out everything on theplate was over cooked. Luckily the waitress checked on us shortly after and a new steak was fired. Definitely one of the top 3steaks I?ve ever had! Medium rare is the way to eat a steak like that. I would highly recommend the oysters, tuna tar tar, filet, trout, and the venison chili. Thanks for having us!
The food is acceptable, but it’s quite pricey and lacks any significant appeal. If you can, just stick to the beer.
Over the years, I’ve had some enjoyable meals and snacks at Tuque's. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere is laid-back. However, during my most recent visit, I found the food to be quite disappointing. The beet salad with mandarin oranges seemed like it came straight from a can and was simply served on a bed of lettuce. The trout sandwich featured an overcooked piece of fish encased in crust, served on a dry roll. I would also advise against the fried green tomatoes. If you’re craving meatloaf, you’re better off going to Route 66 for a burger. This experience was especially disappointing since we had guests with us and had previously recommended this restaurant. The place wasn’t busy that evening, and even though there were locals at the bar, they weren’t eating. It felt as though the kitchen staff might have been lacking.
I absolutely loved this restaurant and found myself wishing I could have visited every day while I was in town. Our group of eight made reservations, and everything we ordered was fantastic, although I would recommend skipping the charcuterie. I ordered the filet, and when it arrived, everything on the plate was overcooked. Thankfully, the waitress checked in on us shortly afterward, and they quickly prepared a new steak. It turned out to be one of the best steaks I've ever had! If you enjoy steak, definitely go for medium rare. I would highly recommend the oysters, tuna tartare, filet, trout, and venison chili. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
I visited Tuque's Grill for the first time after hearing some great recommendations, and it was absolutely worth the trip to the mountain. We started with mozzarella, which was far from your average cheese sticks. They had the ideal texture, flavor, and presentation. The staff was wonderful; they provided excellent suggestions, and we all opted for the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection—super tender and juicy. Surprisingly, the potatoes stole the show, and I strongly urge you to give them a try. Whether you choose to sit upstairs or downstairs, the atmosphere is lovely. I will definitely be back. Thank you!
