We just moved nearby and are happy to have this shop just down the road!

We had heard great things about the doughnuts at this place, so we popped in. I tried a frosted cake donut and it was amazing. It's rare to find cake doughnuts frosted in the Hampton Roads area, most places only offer glazed doughnuts. But this one was perfect: rich chocolate icing, moist but with a crispy exterior, and a nice weight to it. They really know what they're doing here.

This time we were... read more We have been coming to Smithfield for years and Ringo Donuts are always either closed or out of donuts, out of donuts mean they are worth it. This time we were determined and it was worth the 3 hour trip and a getaway. These donuts are not over bearing with sugar and so moist. My husband said he can not describe the deliciousness. Sad they are not open on Sunday's or Holiday's but understand. Smithfield is the best place to get away from noise. We stay at Smithfield Station that is a must and stay inside the Lighthouse is amazing!! Their restaurant everything on the menu is delicious especially the crab soup!! We take quarts home with us.
