5411 Empanadas Wicker Park - side

Very bland empanadas… have tried their food truck at West Fest and again in-house at their Wicker Park location, both times the taste was no where to be found.

I had tried sweet empanadas at my local bakery before, but had never tried any that had meat filling. So delicious!

Might be on the higher end in terms of empanadas but these ones are really worth it; even 2—3 is a nice meal. Each kind is full of flavor, lots of different varieties. My favorite is the bacon/date/goat cheese and the beef ones The atmosphere of this location is really quite sophisticated with moody lighting and the menu printed on the wall. The service was friendly and it was pretty quick considering they bake each order fresh. Please visit!

Good empanadas at a great price. The bacon, dates, and cheese is the best by far and the caramelized onion is also great. I was disappointed by the chorizo flavor expecting juicy porky goodness but the meat tasted more like ground beef… Otherwise I love this place and the value is much better than most places in the neighborhood at 3.29 per empanada

Best empanadas in the city, but the service is horrible. I called ahead and placed my order for pick up, I then had to wait an additional 20 minutes once I arrive for my order. Please who came in after me and placed there order in store we’re getting their orders before me.
