Was in the area for an event and craving Mexican glad we chose this for dinner! They had a great dinner menu lots of different options other than your basic Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa were tasty and fresh. Queso was delicious and fajitas were a great portion with fantastic flavor. Service was quick and efficient and food came out piping hot. View all feedback.
What Sydney D doesn't like about Fronteras Mexican Resturant:
3 stars: A-OK Came here around 5 on a Saturday night. It wasn't overly packed, and there was no wait time. Our server was very friendly, and the food was good. The Bandera Enchiladas were the best. Everything else was just ok, nothing spectacular or crave worthy. The queso dips (we ordered the two different kinds) were barely warm. Would have been nice if they were hot. Not a ton of flavor. The new quesabirria tacos weren't that hot either. They were just ok. The cheese wasn't super melted. Not a ton of flavor either. Food came out FAST. Like maybe 5 minutes. Overall, good service, ok food. Probably won't be back anytime soon though, as we enjoy other local Mexican restaurants better. I feel like this food was tamed down in terms of flavor.

The Foods great. We had amazing service. And a Nice atmosphere my little sister and I both liked it. My little nephew loved the Espinaca. We highly recommend you come here
This is possibly the best Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. My in-laws live in Lenexa, and we often like to take them out for dinner when we're in town. My father-in-law suffers from celiac disease, so he has to avoid gluten. We always let them pick the restaurant, because they know the best local places for him to be able to find something on the menu that he can eat. This is one of their favorite places, so they go here often, and it's the place they choose most often when we come to visit. The food is wonderful, and the portions are huge. I usually order a margarita and the Super Pollo, which is seasoned chicken in a large fried flour tortilla, topped with a delicious cheese sauce. The portion is HUGE, and it's honestly the best thing I've ever tasted at any Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Their chips and salsa are also very good. The staff is always extremely attentive and friendly, and the owner almost always stops by our table to say hello.
I never leave here hungry....or thirsty. Their food is on point (do we still say that) every single time. Thank you Esteban for your fabulous attention to detail.
