Was Steve at Blackhole Bakery a mag?
I appreciate any place that welcomes me with a friendly greeting like, "What can I get you, friend?" We enjoyed the gluten-free mochi donuts, which were a delightful treat for us gluten-free folks. View all feedback.
What Jon Weimer dislikes about Blackhole Bakery:
The cases were wiped clean by the time we got there and the only things left were donuts made with ingredients no one ever heard of, like Goji fruit glazed. And if you think that sounds weird, then you have a pretty good idea of what it tasted like. View all feedback.

I love the atmosphere of this place, great theming. Everything I have ever gotten from here has been delicious. The bagels are typically more chewy than I would prefer, but I still order one every time I go in because they have such exciting cream cheese flavors I want to try, such as black pepper parmesan or kimchi. September 2024 Update: Still 5 stars every time! The owner is so personable and kind to every customer, giving them a real moment from his day when he is behind the counter dealing danishes. Just tried their new Meyer lemon croissant and key lime danish. Truly the best citrus pastries I have ever had. I don't know how I didn't mention the mochi donuts in my earlier review but you have to get some if you come. They always nail the flavors. Try the teacakes, danishes, croissants, mochi, bagels and cream cheese. It's all amazing, an out of this world experience for this earthling.

This place is highly recommended: 10/10 The pastries are phenomenal.

Lots of stuff still available at 12:45! Very please with my choices. Biscuits and gravy croissant, ginger peach and carrot cake mochi donuts, and a bonus cinnamon roll. Friendly staff and cute shop make for an awesome little spot on Troost

Got the everything bagel but not pictured. It was hard as rock and the mango lassi mochi tasted like uncooked donut texture. Not sure what the hype is about.

One of my favorite spots in KC! The mochi donuts are THE BEST!
