Barry's Burgers has been on my to try list for some time but I finally got to try them. The Baz Deluxe and Backyard Burger delivered. Juicy, tasty patties. I don't know what they do to the chips but they were fantastic- super crunchy on the outside and great flavour. View all feedback.

Really disappointed in our experience here yesterday. We were at the restaurant and opted to order online to accumulate the loyalty points. Ended up waiting over an hour and 10 minutes for our food! The communication wasn't great, the staff member was apologetic but really nothing changed. After an hour she said she'd check on it and then got distracted by another customer who was complaining. When I followed up with her 10 minutes later our order slip WAS NOT EVEN IN THE KITCHEN after waiting for over an hour. When we were finally given our food we were offered a free drink, but had already purchased some. No refund offered. The food was tasty, but super disappointed that after all that time our chips were freezing cold. The restaurant needs to better manage it's online ordering and uber eats capacity. If we had been aware of the wait we wouldn't have ordered. And pretty over priced for what you get. $60.00 for two people to eat burgers and cold chips... We won't be rushing back to Barrys Burgers that's for sure

After eating in a couple of times now and having a terrible delivery experience I contacted Barry directly about our delivery. To his credit, he got us in the store and shouted us dinner. Our burgers were great although I agree with another lady the chicken is over salted as are some of the chips. The onion rings were just too overcooked and oily and our potato fries were like we got the crispy bits left over. This is honest feedback. It's like when they're busy which is a lot I'd imagine they fall behind and send out over-fried food. This is my observation. I will say the beef burgers were on point, rolls were fresh and held up and all the other components to burgers were on point.

I don't know who Barry is, but he does a fairly solid burger. Being vegetarian it was great to see three options for me, and the quinoa one has a tasty flavour PLUS importantly (you get me non meat eaters) is not too dry. The sweet potato fries are a joy to behold! Would love if they did shakes too, but great to see they serve beersies. Grab your food to go and find a spot on Semaphore beach I reckon, as the inside is nothing special.
Good service and a nice location are what make this shine. The Burgers are nice but not over the top great, a bit on the pricey side for value. The fries are expensive catering for the trendy crowd. Overall it was above average.
After my go to Burger joint has gone downhill after a change of ownership, I have been looking for a replacement and I may have found it in Barry's. It is a bit further away but I think it is worth the drive. All the burgers I have had have been delicious, the rosemary fries have been crispy and well seasoned, service has been quick and friendly. I don't really really have much to complain about. The only thing is they advertise as cooking their burgers medium (which is fantastic) though they have come out over that. Though still tasty and juicy which is more important i guess. But I will be back
Barry something I had heard about working locally for while but thought tonight was the night. Found the burger cooked perfectly it has this home style flavour couldn’t fault it. Location of the place is very good literally beach front of Semaphore Beach which I can assume come summer time this place will be busy. Will keep this place on my radar again anyone in the area not given it ago worth it
Popped in today on a gorgeous sunny spring day and was not disappointed! Ordered the Camemburger and a side of fries and sat at the bench overlooking the road and people watched while waiting for my food. Quickly enough, my food was delivered and I sunk my teeth into the delicious, soft bun of the burger. It's kind of like a cheeseburger but fancier and soooo yummy! The chips were good and seasoned nicely with rosemary and sea salt. BBQ and tomato sauce are there to help yourself and these kept my toddler happy while she dipped her chips to her hearts content. Will be back!

Long term Barry's fan, typically eat here once a week or fortnight, thought I would finally leave a review! The Staunch Deluxe is hands down the best burger in SA!ALSO, I am so glad that you now have the Coke bottles instead of the glass, makes it so much easier to grab a combo
I went there when they were almost closed and still got the freshest chips and burger. The burger was juicy and full of flavour but not too much flavour. The burger and chips weren't greasy or mess, which made my visit more satisfying. Customer service was amazing, and the staff were really patient. It's definitely my favourite place to get a burger down at the beach.
I've been eating at barry's for years and I'm never disappointed (if I don't eat through I love the chickenburgers are free wide-range **** and the vegetarian burgers are fantastic! the service is friendly and I don't have to wait long in the order. I have recommended barry's family and friends, they are also happy:

On the way into the films and gave this place a jump! the burgers were very nice with a decent selection. the hotel is located not far from the coast and on the lively semaphore rd! faster service and great tasting burger. is back, very nice and good. presentation!
