Was magpie at Lickerish a mag?
Sunday evening dinner with the place almost to ourselves in stark contrast when we tried to eat there on the night before and couldn't get a seat!Started with oysters and despite them already being pre opened, they were fresh and flavorsome.Mains decisions were made somewhat difficult by the mouth watering descriptions of the specials given by our very attentive waiter.Settled on the gnocchi and the swordfish. What Maritza Buckridge dislikes about Lickerish:
Meh, Poppy went to Lickerish and didn't enjoy the inflated prices or the small portioned size dishes. Can't help but think all you're paying for is an upstairs view of the Semaphore strip and beach. Food was definitely lacking. Pizzas were below average, and the sharing plates looked like they'd feed a bird. Service was ok. Fit out is nice and cosy inside however that's not enough to get Poppy returning to Lickerish,... View all feedback.

I had ordered for grilled squid with kimchi(although flavours were good,it was bit salty)I ordered for specials for mains which were gnocchi and mackeral with grains, yoghurt.Mains were really beautiful, fresh and flavoursome.Staff was really helpful and smiling.

Fantastic dishes.Wine list is predominantly South Australian and it is well thought. Some really excellent wines. Started with a pinot and finished the evening with beautiful French cheeses and a shiraz.Definitely a stand out restaurant with a lot of hands on care and attention by talented owners.
Menu is good with good selection of food. I had the pizza and the base was a bread base, not a pizza base. The bread became soggy which detracted from the pizza origins. For $25.00 I expect what I was eating in Italy for $15.00. My wife had the burger. Big to say the least but the bun was also too much. I liked it but it is expensive for what it is. Still needs a paint job and a spruce up. F
Amazing location and the food was fantastic. Perfect spot for a lovely meal by the beach. Will definitely go back and try more of the menu.
Although Lickerish has only been around for a few years, it feels like it's one of those institutions that's been there forever. It has a cosy, friendly atmosphere despite it's quite large size created by the perfect hodge podge of furniture and decor. You feel like a country house went on a date with a fancy wine bar and you just met their offspring. Wooden tables; Wine blackboards; Fairy lights; candles; fresh flowers. It's awesome. There are a few outdoor tables to sit above the roadside and watch the world walk by, a much coveted spot in warm weather. The staff are super friendly and relaxed, fitting of somewhere in such an intrinsically seaside suburb like Semaphore. One of them managed to rattle off about 12 specials without missing a beat. The food took a little while to come out, but being able to relax and enjoy some drinks while waiting made it easier. Food highlights were definitely the mushroom arancini balls and zucchini flowers I'm a sucker for a zucchini flowers. I once crossed Sydney during a Harbour Bridge traffic jam for a zucchini flower related emergency. Anyway... the pizzas at Lickerish were amazing too, I'd recommend the potato one in particular. The beverage list is an excellent representation of local SA winemakers and the overall menu prices are on par with the rest of the area. Some great specials make them worth a second look if you're not stuck on something on the main menu.<br/ <br/ Come down here in Summer and hang on the balcony. Or come in winter and nestle into an indoor spot. Do it.<br/ <br/ Full (and probably funnier version of review on the blog now, link in bio :

I must say upfront that when I looked at the menu and realised this was a pizza joint, I was pretty shocked The name, logo, decor, bar and general vibe
My partner and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening and it was a fantastic dining experience.
Went for lunch on a rainy Sunday. Met with usual friendly service with beautifully prepared fresh and tasty food. They have wine and beer choices for every taste and are perfectly situated for a great view of semaphore. Would definitely recommend a visit or two.
