What A likes about The Gerald:
Incredible food, service, and drinks!!! Came for one cocktail, ended up getting 6 and dinner. I didn’t know there were levels to skewers, but this place was over 9000. Highly recommend and can’t wait to take friends back to this place. View all feedback. What William W doesn't like about The Gerald:
An okay place for dinner and drinks. They have a wide selection of very ornate cocktails. I opted for beer because I didn't know what half the things in the cocktails were. Probably my limited palate, but would be a good place to try if you're more of cocktail enthusiast. I had a bulgogi skewer and a spicy street food dish (forgot what it was called). The food was good, but the skewer was really small. View all feedback.

read moreThe Gerald in Ballard offers a mix of cocktails and Korean street food. While the ornate cocktails may not be for everyone, cocktail enthusiasts will likely enjoy the wide selection. The food receives mixed reviews, with some finding it delicious and others mentioning inconsistencies in quality. Overall, the ambience is pleasant, and the outdoor seating area is a nice touch. The restaurant seems to have a loyal following, with some customers excited to return and try more dishes. Despite some hiccups with service and pricing, The Gerald appears to be a popular spot in Ballard for those looking to enjoy a unique dining experience.
As a Ballardite (because that's a thing?) this is one of my go to bars I have always been able to find a seat, even on a Friday or Saturday night.
Nice retro Scandinavian woodsy vibe, low key, comfy seating, nice late night happy hour menu w ridiculous prices.
I was a little confused here at first.
