I have been here a couple of times and enjoy it. The Burrata cheese appetizer was very good but the tonnarelli pasta was a bit too al dente, sauce was great. We had half bottle of Amarone but glasses smelled of bleach. Server was very nice and rinsed the glasses so we could enjoy the wine. View all feedback.
What ChristopherA doesn't like about Tavolata:
Fantastic pre-Xmas meal with family. Service and ambiance exceeded expectations on a dark, windy Seattle night. Food was fresh, and tasty with unique flavors. Some of our party felt their dishes were a bit bland. The paperdelle with ragu, chili and orange was the favourite. View all feedback.
Man oh man do I love Ethan Stowell's restaurantsDecor is always lovely, servers are friendly and cool I would love to live there if I could.
Finally made it to Tavolata and let me just tell you, it was super delicious.
Booo. extremely light portions of proteins or sauces on any dish worth bad. games: 1. pappardelle with meat ragu 1 table spoon sauce and meat. 2 prawns and pasta had 2 small garnels cut into six pieces and kitchen apologises because it should have cut 3 garnels in 9 pieces. hahahahahahahaha. 3. 3 scallops not jumbo scallops on a deer plate as a deer with a table spoon and half a half of rice and 2 pine nuts. 4. 3 chicken meatballs in a huge bowl spaghetti without sauce, it was sown in sauce and placed in the bowl and was dry. our dinners and desserts were served 15 minutes away from each other. we waited 20 minutes after sitting to be even recognized and that was not even from our server. our server was sweet, but there is no team here. overall the pasta was good, but it is worth terrible and two dishes were coarsely salted, while no seasoning was at all. the scallops were not sent correctly on both sides, which resulted slightly under boiled centers. to round out the amateur night, they hyped a champagnergelato, which one assumes that the champagne is poured over the top, after we had ordered and expected that he would wait 20 minutes waiting for the table to see the rest of the desserts and our friend then said that they could not give that dessert because the champagner does not freeze. the spicy rigatoni was the only really good dish on the menu. the wine list is very good, but with 110 125% markup so prepared. as a lover of great food, a defender of large restaurants. I have to say. unless you die to share with $100 per person for mediocrity, go somewhere else!
