Was Jordan Smithson at Mecca Cafe a mag?
As the descriptions say, it is a dive bar, but it was worth the dive. The staff was personable and nice. The food arrived quick and was delicious. It was suggested by the hotel staff to pay a visit, it was well worth the time to heed his words. Only downfall, seats are a bit cramped for my liking, but it has definitely earned it's iconic status to me. View all feedback.
What Eveline McClure dislikes about Mecca Cafe:
Long story short, if you're from out of town, make sure you have enough cash on you. Their POS system is so outdated your credit card won't clear, and the staff would rather you sit on the phone with your bank for 90 minutes, rather than do the troubleshooting and key in your credit card credentials manually. Good food, nice people, but don't let them steal your valuable time. I wonder what the roaming charges are go... View all feedback.
Came here while visiting for an NFL game, was referred to by several, the Queen Anne District is neat, didn't realize I was walking into a small dinner, but
Came here today for the first time for brunch with my cousin and her baby, the waitress came and took our order.
Food was ok, typical fare. However, the service wasn't even 2nd rate, waitress was incompetent and negligent. It wasn't crowded so it was easy to spot when our food was done and waiting to be served. The waitress was engrossed in a valley girl conversation with a friend or coworker. She did not check on our food, she would have had to turn around away from her important conversation. My husband was irritated with the lack of professionalism and asked her if that was our food waiting to be delivered to the table. She did turn around and look to see the food. The kicker was the absolute disgust that she exhibited with my husband for interrupting her conversation. I was astonished. The last time someone showed me that behavior was from a 15 year old girl. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $10–20
