I used to dine here regularly before the Covid-19 pandemic, but I stopped after encountering poor food quality and unclean facilities. Four years later, I decided to return, only to find that the customer service was terrible and the food was mediocre and overpriced.
I wasn't a fan of falafel before visiting Mawadda Cafe, but now I've fully embraced it. Thank you for this transformation! I've discovered the way, the truth, and the light—served generously with Tzatziki sauce.
Wow! The food is fantastic, and the staff is wonderful. I've visited this place twice, and it's quickly become my favorite spot. Everything is made with attention to detail and presented beautifully. Each sauce is uniquely flavorful, and the fresh vegetables are all hand-prepared and wonderfully crunchy. The falafel is incredibly good—full of flavor and definitely among the best I've ever tasted. Everything I've sampled has been a delight. I highly recommend trying the baklava!
Good friendly service. Family owned business. They were near closing time but still accommodated our dine in and to go order. Food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely try again if ever in the area.
My neighbor took me there for shawarma. Excellent! It's kind of hidden off Rainier Ave, but well worth a try. We did take-out, but you can eat there. I had the chicken shawarma and it was excellent. I saw a plaque on the wall stating they were one of the 100 best sandwiches of the year in 2020 in Seattle. Good choice! It's a very good, and filling, sandwich. Also tried the Chai and a piece of baklava. They call it something similar, but not exactly the same. Also excellent!
