It’s been quite a while since we dined at this restaurant, and I’m not sure why we waited so long. The food and service are truly amazing! It’s a cozy place that has expanded its seating by adding an outdoor area, effectively doubling its capacity. We opted to sit outside, and although it wasn’t windy or rainy, we were pleasantly surprised by how warm it felt under the heater. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate or enjoy a romantic and intimate dinner, this is the perfect spot. We certainly won’t let so much time pass before we return!
I have a particular fondness for their pasta dishes, and they offer several vegetarian options on the menu. They are always accommodating when it comes to adjusting dishes to exclude meat or seafood when possible. I must highlight the Gnocchi allo Zafferano, which features gnocchi in a saffron sauce. It is simply outstanding! I was truly amazed by the depth of flavor in the sauce—delicate yet delivering a distinct saffron taste with every bite. The gnocchi itself was cooked perfectly—not mushy or sticky, they had the right bite to them! The complimentary bread is also delicious; I often find myself trying to restrain from eating it all before my meal arrives! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!
The food here is fantastic and comes in generous portions. The staff, from the host to the servers, is friendly and well-informed. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset over the sound. This place is truly a gem in Seattle.
I actually had expected more from this restaurant. Ambiance: ok, cozy ish but very outdated (but not in a vintage way). maybe it will look better with sunset and the beach view (in the summer)? Service: staff was nice and sweet. Food: My partner got the special Pork Shank and saffron risotto rice and the rice is overcooked (based on normal standard, not the al dente standard), the pork is very good, however, tender and well seasoned. I got the Linguine di Mare, which was just ok but there were at least 2-3 dead clams/mussels. The portion was huge tho. And the appetizer bread was very nice!
We just wanted to have a nice Sunday dinner and this place left us quite disappointed and uneasy. The only good things to point out would be a pleasant hostess. Has a nice decor quaint and rustic. Our server (whose name I shall keep anonymous) was very impolite and rude at times. Bumped into me and did not apologize. She did not tell us the specials of the evening while I heard her mention it to the other table. Served water in a chipped glass and I experienced the sharpness of a tiny glass piece in my mouth. When I brought it to her attention, she was callous about it. Even the manager management is not very nice. Food not so great. Americanized Italian, not authentic just like some of the other posts say here. Asked for Linguine and they served spaghetti. Not to mention, they are clearly over priced. They do not accept tap, credit card number or venmo (even post covid). Overall their attitude is terrible and they clearly don't care about their customers. Do not recommend.
