I really enjoyed the Xiamen-style spring roll, and the crab on sticky rice was quite delicious as well. The flavors of the food were vibrant yet not too heavy, which I appreciated. The staff here is also very friendly. This restaurant is part of a well-known chain from Xiamen, a coastal city in China, and the dishes I sampled definitely met my expectations based on their reputation.
This Hey Ming is the same as the one in Xiamen, Fujian. Being from Fujian myself, this restaurant truly brings back the flavors of my hometown. I highly recommend the Xiamen pancake wrap (厦门薄饼), black pepper diced steak (黑椒铁板牛肉粒), noodles in sauce (卤面), and shrimp in soy sauce (沙茶虾仁). The diced steak is incredibly juicy and served on a sizzling hot plate. The pancake comes with a variety of fillings, providing a delightful layer of flavors. The only downside is the waiting time; since it recently opened, the preparation can take a bit longer. Sometimes you might find yourself waiting for your next dish after finishing one. While I'm not too bothered by the wait for a newly opened restaurant, I hope they can address this issue soon.
The best crab, sticky rice, and fried rice we've ever tasted! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to try more dishes!
Family style fish, good for groups, quick service. This used to be called Joyfish, and this is a similar format with slightly different options.
Their new fish dishes, Hot Chili Oil Fish and Sauerkraut fish were soooo delicious, they are the best dishes I ever had in other restaurant, favored, tasty, and valued price, definitely enough for two of us!! They keep their tradition grilled fish, and the fired rice was a delight!
